Bindings, nuts, pickguards, etc.
To complement our list of wood parts, we offer: bindings in several styles; bone, Corean, abalone, and mother-of-pearl nut blanks; bone mandolin body point blanks; and more. Please visit our Online Store for up to the minute prizing.
Notes:
1) Our #430 Completion Set (above) includes #301-A early-style tuners (correct tuning direction, worm below round gear), #305 sliding cover tailpiece, #20 bone nut blank, #30 corner point blanks (two pcs), #600 Gaboon ebony end pin, #100 filler mix (ebony), #380 small gauge F5 fretwire (48" total), #410 black position dot stock (for side of fretboard), and #555 mother-of-pearl 1/4" diameter fretboard position markers (six pcs). Request part #430-N for nickel or #430-G for gold.
2) Original F5 mandolins had pearl nuts (our #24). A good second choice is bone for the nut (#20) and body points (#30) of the manolin. Corean is an excellent substitute and is whiter than the bone. Abalone is harder for nuts than bone or Corean and provides a wear-resistant, beautiful multi-colored finish.

5) #409 binding is Ivroid/black/white as seen from the side, for use on mandolin and banjo fretboards.
